Our Story
Established in 1986
Cafe 50’s is a local institution that has been serving up classic American diner fare for over 35 years and quickly became a popular hangout spot for teenagers and families alike.
Located in the heart of West LA , the diner has retained its classic 1950s decor and ambiance, with bright neon lights, vinyl booths, vintage newspapers, and a jukebox that still plays oldies tunes. The menu is filled with classic diner dishes such as burgers, fries, milkshakes, and hot dogs, all served up with a side of nostalgia.
Over the years, Cafe 50’s has played a prominent role in Los Angeles history, and was rated “Excellent” by Zagat Survey’s American’s Most Prestigious Dining & Shopping Guide in 2006 calling it “One of the Best Breakfasts in Los Angeles” and having “out-of-this-world milkshakes”. The Cafe was also featured in Los Angele’s Business Journal for raising almost $10,000 for New Orleans Hurricane Katrina Victims. Today, the diner continues to attract locals and tourists alike, who come to enjoy the authentic atmosphere and delicious comfort food.
